img_6263wsJeanna Hayes from Las Vegas and I. We had been emailing, and commenting on each others blogs before the workshop! It was great to meet her finally! I look forward to meeting up with her at WPPI in March!

img_6262wsAnd, at the very end of the evening Becker dropped by to chat with us all.

A slideshow put together by workshop photographer by the name of Michael Andrew. Be sure to click on his links as he has listed everybody from our workshop day! Take a look at all the other photographers work as well! So much talent in one room that is for sure!

If you have been following my blog, you would know that I flew with my husband to California take a wedding workshop from the wonderful Jessica Claire. If you do not follow any wedding photographer blogs, you must go take a look at her work and her site. Jessica is one of the top ten photographers in the world! Not only is her work amazing, she is amazing! She is very passionate about being a photographer and thankfully I was there to learn from the best! I learned so much. She shared a lot with us during the workshop. It started with a meet and greet (breakfast) in her awesome studio! The workshop started at 9:30 in the morning and then having a wonderful afternoon watching Jessica shooting the getting ready part, the befores, the details be sure to click this link to view Jessica Claire’s detail shots! We then learned how to shoot on location, at this fabulous mock wedding, the formals, the family photos etc. All the way to the cake cutting! The models were gorgeous too! Gena Patten played the “bride” for our workshop.

It was amazing to watch her work, and just to be able to observe how she moved about the whole day! Amazing! After many hours of shooting, we went back to her house again downloaded our images from the day, and watched her processing etc. of the images. Learned about workflow. Such a great eye opener for me! I love how she works with her clients with grace and poise. She is an expert! Now these skills and tricks I can use with my own clients!

At the end of the day, we sat down to an amazing dinner cooked by her husband to be! It was so good! Such a wonderful experience for us all. And, I met 19 new photographer friends from all over the US, and one other photographer from Canada, Camille from Calgary. We left Jessica’s place around 8:30 at night! It was a very full day! So exciting! It has me pumped up, and excited thinking about 2010. It is a year I am much looking forward to! A year of big changes for my business and I LOVE the direction my business heading!

I will be posting some most amazing details and images on the next couple of blog posts! Watch for them next up on the blog!!
