I totally enjoyed our long weekend! We did a lot of packing on Friday, my husband did a lot of packing on Saturday, as I second shot a wedding at The Brock House in Vancouver with my friend, Danielle of Soltura Photography.  Congratulations to Derek and Liz! Your wedding was beautiful. Thanks Danielle for having me along! I cannot wait to share a few images with you after Danielle blogs it first!

Yesterday, I had a photo session just for me with fabulous Chilliwack Photographer, Jennifer Rodriguez-Cruz. I cannot wait to see how she captured me! I had my hair hair and make up done by my awesome, amazing stylist Scarlett Ballantyne. She makes my clients look amazing! You should check out her awesome new site!  If you need hair, make up or Stella and Dot…Please contact  her! I cannot wait to blog some images, and I am waiting patiently for her to blog a few of our awesome Monday night. Thanks again to my team of helpers!

Happy Long Weekend everybody!

Things are coming together in my creative life. Also in my home and business life! I am excited about all of the changes that are heading my way! I have A LOT on my plate, however plugging away at everything bit by bit! That way life seems a lot more manageable to me.

I am excited about a lot of things. In a few weeks we will be moving!

I am excited about a whole bunch of photography shoots that are coming up! A most exciting boudoir session next week, and a really exciting project at the end of June. Something I have been waiting and waiting to do! It is almost here.

Working on my sites. My blog. Expect some big changes in the near future!

I cannot wait to have a couples session with my husband and I! That will happen in Summer.

School is almost out for summer! I cannot wait for the new house and fresh new memories for our family!

OK, this week went by way too quickly! It has been a beautiful week. I have been able to pull out my sundresses and flip flops. I went for a pedicure, and had my toenails painted a light pink. This week was busy with activity!

My husband Cliff and I had dinner out to celebrate 12 years of marriage together. It was great to sit and talk without interruption!

Also, Mother’s Day is big around here! I was spoiled by my husband and kids. I look forward to it every year. To see what lovely little gifts and cards the kids made. It is always a thrill! Six times over!

My husband bought me an anniversary/Mother’s Day hanging basket for the front of our house. I love it! It is one of the moss baskets and I think it made my day when it went up! I always appreciate his thoughtfulness.

Snuggles with my brand new nephew on Mother’s day too. Oh yeah, a huge get together with all of the family! We went for brunch, and although a bit crazy, a lot of fun!

The sunshine. Oh the glorious sunshine was out for most of the week! Ahhhh…

Me and my brand new nephew, Colby Thomas. Oh how I love a fresh baby!

What a great week this has been for me, and it just keeps getting better!

I am still thinking about the wedding of Anna and Max this past Saturday! Wishing them all the best as they start out on their new life together as husband and wife! Oh how I remember how amazing it felt to be newlyweds!

I am basking in the glow of holding my brand new nephew Colby! We met him the day after he was born, and then this past Sunday I took some photos for my sister Amy and her husband Tyler! Congratulations, and welcome to the world Colby! xo

I am thinking ahead to the weekend. On Sunday, we have  double whammy of sorts going on. My husband  Cliff and I will be celebrating 12 married years together. And, of course Mother’s day is also this Sunday!

I just love the month of May! My other sister April will be celebrating her anniversary later this month as well!

April showers bring May flowers, and I couldn’t be more delighted!

vancouver wedding photographer | anna & max’s wedding

On Saturday, I along with Laura Hana. (who worked as my second shooter for the wedding, good friend and awesome photographer) had the pleasure of photographing Anna and Max’s Wedding day. We started at the Hilton Hotel in Burnaby while Anna, and her bridal party got ready. Next we photographed their church service. After their ceremony, a few family photos outside of the church. Next, we headed to Dundarave in West Vancouver for some fun photos with the bridal party!  We then headed to Grouse Mountain and  took the  blue gondola up to the very top  (The Peak of Vancouver) to the Grouse Mountain Resort (in the Timber Room, and most beautiful view of Vancouver) where they had their wedding reception. A wonderful room full of beautiful friends and family, and stunning details. Oh how I love the details of this wedding! And oh how I love Max and Anna. The love in the room was amazing.

You may recognize Anna and Max from an engagement session we did on Crescent Beach end of March. Congratulations Max and Anna! I cannot wait to share the rest with my wonderful wedding couple. I will blog another post just of the details!!

Today a few of my images were featured on a really cool Canadian blog called A Million Little Details! If you haven’t gone to take a look yet, I suggest you do! Make sure you bookmark them too! It is such a beautiful blog, and features awesome content from Canada! Awesome. It is a pretty pretty blog! LOVE it.

The images were chosen from the Jessica Claire, OC Wedding Workshop I attended back in September 2009. I loved that workshop, and took away so much wonderful information. It changed the way I was shooting, and how I was running my photography business. I am forever grateful for the wonderful things that happened to me personally and professionally from that amazing trip to California. I cannot wait to go back!
