I believe in the beauty of real life. My photography witnesses and records that beauty — the singular moments that take your breath away. The split seconds that, years from now, will call up an entire treasure box of memories. I know firsthand that, all too often, photos become the only way to remember. (Of course, I’ve got six kids, so that may be my own bias…but I hear it often enough from other busy people that I suspect it’s not an unusual scenario!)

I shoot in natural light, making sure my subjects are relaxed and happy. The results: simple, fresh, intimate portraits. No gimmicks. Lots of delight. A good touch of whimsy.

Photography is my passion. People are endlessly fascinating to me. Life is beautiful in its imperfection. And so I’m convinced I have the best job in the world.
